Preparation
A. Urine Tube: Collect midstream urine to the collection cup. Submerge tip of transfer straw in specimen. Push Push UA Preservative Tube into transfer straw completely. Hold in position until flow stops. Remove tube leaving transfer straw in container, invert tube 8-10 times. Label tube with patient identifiers, date and time of collection and any other required data.
B. Diaper Liner: Take a piece of diaper liner, fold in quarter and place on the surface of the diaper. Fill the Boritax cup with fresh tap water. After removing the diaper, lift up the liner using a disposable tweezer and place the liner inside the Boritex tube. Make sure the liner is completely immersed in water. Write patient's identifiers and date and time of collection on the cup.
